  • Home

    • Homeowners insurance is a form of property insurance designed to protect an individual's home against damages to the house itself, or to possessions in the home. Homeowners insurance also provides liability coverage against accidents in the home or on the property.

  • Auto

    • Auto insurance protects you against financial loss if you have an accident. It provides property, liability, and medical coverage: Property coverage pays for damage to or theft of your car. Liability coverage pays for your legal responsibility to others for bodily injury or property damage. Medical coverage pays for the cost of treating injuries, rehabilitation, and sometimes lost wages and funeral expenses.

  • Business

    • Business Insurance coverage protects businesses from losses due to events that may occur during the normal course of business. There are many types of insurance for businesses including coverage for property damage, legal liability and employee-related risks.

Home

HO3 - This policy is the most common type of homeowners insurance. Typically insures your home and attached structures (like a garage or deck), as well as your belongings and your personal liability if you accidentally injure someone or damage their property.
HO4 - This policy type is specifically for renters, since it covers only belongings and personal liability — not the building structure, which the landlord buys insurance for.
HO6 - This policy is designed specifically for condo owners and financially protects belongings and personal liability. An HO-6 policy, also known as condo insurance, also typically extends to the walls, floors, and ceiling of the unit too. The rest of the condo's structure is usually covered by a policy purchased by the homeowners association.
HO8 - This policy is designed for older homes. The coverage details are basically the same as a HO-3, but with special adaptations to better suit older homes, which may have different coverage needs than newer houses.

Bodily Injury Liability Coverage (BI): If an insured person is legally liable for an accident, BI coverage pays for injuries/death to people involved in the accident other than the insured driver. BI also pays for legal defense costs if you are sued.

Property Damage Liability Coverage (PD): If an insured person is legally liable for an accident, PD coverage pays for damage to others' property resulting from the accident. PD also pays for legal defense costs if you are sued.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Coverage: PIP is a coverage in which the auto insurance company pays, within the specified limits, the medical, hospital and funeral expenses of the insured person, people in the insured vehicle and pedestrians struck by the insured vehicle. PIP is the basic coverage implemented in no-fault automobile insurance states.

Medical Payments (MedPay) Coverage: MedPay is an optional insurance coverage that pays for reasonable and necessary medical and funeral expenses for covered persons. These expenses must be incurred as a result of an auto accident.

Comprehensive Coverage (COMP): If your insured vehicle is damaged due to an event other than a collision, Comprehensive coverage will pay for the damage. This includes damages from fire, theft, windstorm, flood and vandalism. If your vehicle is stolen, Comprehensive covers transportation and loss of use expenses when applicable.

Collision Coverage (COLL): When your insured vehicle overturns or collides with another object, Collision coverage pays for the damage to your vehicle. Collision coverage also may extend to a non-owned vehicle or one rented for personal use that is in your custody or that you are operating.

Uninsured Motorist Coverage (UM): If a driver or owner of a vehicle does not have insurance and is legally liable for an accident, you can use UM coverage for injuries, including death, that you, your resident relatives, and occupants of your insured vehicle sustain, up to the limits you select.

Rental Reimbursement Coverage: Rental Reimbursement provides rental car coverage if you have a claim that is covered under Comprehensive or Collision coverage. Daily rental amounts are subject to the limit purchased.

Roadside Assistance Coverage: Roadside Assistance provides services such as towing, flat tire change, locksmith service and battery jump-start to customers, who can elect the service for an additional premium if it is not already included with their insurance policy.

Types of Vehicle insurance (also known as car insurance, motor insurance or auto insurance):
Car, SUV, Truck, Motorcycle, ATV, Boat/PWC, RV, Travel Trailer, Snowmobile, Classic Vehicle, Commercial Auto, Scooter, Golf Cart, Segway

Business

Property insurance covers everything related to the loss and damage of company property due to a wide-variety of events such as fire, smoke, wind and hail storms, civil disobedience and vandalism. The definition of "property" is broad, and includes lost income, business interruption, buildings, computers, company papers and money.

General Liability Insurance covers legal hassles due to accident, injuries and claims of negligence. These policies protect against payments as the result of bodily injury, property damage, medical expenses, libel, slander, the cost of defending lawsuits, and settlement bonds or judgments required during an appeal procedure.

Business Vehicle Insurance provides broad protection that can be important to business owners. As a business owner, you need some of the same insurance coverages for the cars, trucks, vans or other vehicles you use in your business as you do for vehicles used for personal travel.
